RST Fishing Inc. provides RST products for purchase to North America. RST is a small, private company that since its formation has remained under the ownership of its founder. RST is a German company located on the border between Bavaria and Baden-Wurtemburg which from the start has maintained its profile as a small, specialized and inventive firm. RST has always been one step ahead with the development of carbon fiber composites. RST realized very early the potential of carbon fiber for rod building.
RST quickly made sure it had the best possible support from scientists and technicians who brought their high tech knowledge from the airplane industry. This meant RST could stop using ready made blanks which did not meet the company's high standards and started to produce its own blanks. It also meant RST had full control of the building process from raw material to the finished blanks while maintaining quality control at every stage.
All this technology and accumulated knowledge means RST has an excellent pedigree and its products are appreciated at international fishing shows, by dealers and on the river bank the world over. RST is a small company with a policy of remaining "David against Goliath", and RST will continue its on-going teamwork between builder and fishermen to produce rods in small numbers but of absolute top quality. This provides the fisherman with the highest quality of rod available. As we at RST write this in 2010, we see the world changing rapidly. Things we always took for granted are now being questioned. However, this will not change RST in one important regard. Despite all the changes around us, RST will continue to be the world's leading blank designer.
